On my first day in Chicago, we got right into tourist mode. We headed straight to the River Walk (which was so gorgeous by the way) and rented a bike. Not just any bike, one that looks a little like a car, but a bike. (Check it out here!) I used that as my vehicle to scope out great places to shoot… and too look super touristy! Obviously I wasn’t biking in heels, although I’m sure that’s a new type of workout. This little number is something that I put together for dinner one night with my friends in The Windy City.
The top is something I picked up from Forever21 probably like 5 years ago, the college years. It always had a good time when I wore it then, so I figured I would break it out of the closet and take it to Chicago. Needless to say, the crop top and myself had a great time. These teal pants from Zara are super cute and super affordable. I find that sometimes, you go to Zara, and they are WAY over priced. I picked up these cool culottes for a steal at $39.90, and they also come in a few other great colors for Fall. I love these heels for one reason, and that is they way they look (I swear I’m not shallow!) After walking around in them for a few hours, they were not as comfortable as my Stuart Weitzman heels. They might have the look, but I guess that’s what you get for the money. In my opinion, I would say to splurge for the Stuarts. As always, I love to add a bit of glam and sparkle to my outfits, so some gold accessories to finish the look off.
A tourist tip for anyone who is visiting Chicago and around the Riverwalk – Take the architecture boat tour. It’s a great little boat ride, and you learn all about the city while cruising (and if you go after I think 5pm, boozing) down the Chicago River.
