Although I love to spend my time frolicking through Sephora trying on every lipstick and all the new products, we all know you can walk out of there spending more than a fortune.  My secret to beauty on a budget? e.l.f. The products are SUPER affordable and great quality, in my opinion. Luckily, living in New York City, I have a few stores filled with these amazing products.  I walk in and I’m like a kid in a candy store! It feels like I could grab one of everything and not even come close to the damage I do at Sephora for a few necessities. Above are a few of my favorites that I have spun into my daily beauty routine, and honestly, now I can’t live without!

Starting with the face, I love e.l.f.’s foundation sticks and concealer sticks. They are super creamy and blend very well. Although they do not have as many color options as most large cosmetic companies, you are sure to find something in your tone, and blending is key! Try using the stippling brush for blending foundations for a full coverage and flawless look (the white tipped brush.) Be sure to use the brush in circular motions. I’m also obsessed with their bronzing and contouring palettes. The bronzer/blush duo (shown above) is a lot like the Orgasm duo from NARS, just a tiny fraction of the price. I use the flat blush brush for blush as well as contouring. Finish your skin off with their silky soft kabuki brush and a translucent powder. For extra glam, try the highlighter on your cheek bones, nose, and cupids bow.

Don’t forget to shape your brows.  For me, brows are a must because they are a face changer! I really like the cream and pressed powder duo e.l.f. in the light and medium colors. The cream is not too dark and comes out beautifully with the small round tipped precision brush.  I find that is a better brush to use instead of an angled brush because it does not make as much of a harsh line.  Set the cream with included powder for the finished product. And then, the pout.  Personally, I love a deep red/burgundy lip.

I’m obsessed with all these products and the best part? The price! e.l.f. products range from $1-$10 a piece. You can’t beat that anywhere else. Selections of the products are sold at Target and Wal-Mart, but be sure to check out the e.l.f. site for the full collection.
