Taking a break from the bright red (Big Apple Red by OPI) I had on during the holidays, I figured a deep blue would work. I always like to have fun with my nails, with either glitter or designs, so today, I chose to do a matte/glossy navy French. This nail art is pretty easy to achieve within just a few steps. The blue that I chose is actually a bright blue with a bit to a sheen in it. I tried a true navy (After School Boy Blazer by Essie) but once the matte polish coated it, the navy looked more black. Start with two coats of a brighter blue polish (Blue My Mind by OPI.) Next, layer on one coat of the matte top coat. You should give the matte polish a minute to dry and set. The last step is to add the French tip by using a regular glossy top coat, you can make the line as thin or thick as you would like. Viola! It’s a fun winter color design with a bit of flare.
